Neo Humanist Foundation (UK)

The Neo Humanist Foundation (UK) supports projects that include poor schools in India and homeopathic medical care in Ghana to improve the health and educational opportunities of children and adults living in deprived and impoverished circumstances.

We do this by providing infrastructure, toilets, water, electricity, classrooms, etc., for rural schools for disadvantaged children living in the villages and towns of India. P.O.O.R. also runs a sponsorship programme to support the education and nutrition of orphans and impoverished children.

How you can help:

Sponsor a Child and help them to have a better life

For only £10 per month you can support a child in our orphanages receive care in a loving home, food and education.

Help a Village School to Develop its Infrastructure

We believe that the way out of poverty is through education.  For the last 15 years we have been helping village schools in India to develop their facilities, by arranging toilets, water, electricity, classrooms, etc.  One of the schools we supported, Jasidih School in Jharkhand is located in a tribal area near the station. It had only one tiny classroom and a verandah for the 60 students who attended. Many more illiterate children from the area also needed to go to school, but we had no space to accommodate them. Through donations from our supporters Jasidih School now has 5 new classrooms in a big new building, and our goals for the project are almost completed - but we have many other schools and children's homes that we are supporting.
